The Sudan from 1881, where Muhammad Ahmad bin Abdullah, having proclaimed himself the Mahdi of Islam, raised the Sudanese people in rebellion against foreign rule. After which The Mahdist State, which ruled for thirteen years, was defeated, leading to the
reconquest of the region, and establishment of Anglo-Egyptian Sudan in 1899.

On Bloody Ground - The Sudan, includes five complete army lists to enable players to build Kedivate of Egypt, The Ansar, Early War British, The Mahdist State or Late War British armies.
